Blessing of IT and globalization in business

A business man wakes up in very early morning at about 4am as he needs to catch up the train to go and purchase some products from another city. He leaves the house and buys the products and come back at late night with a tired body. I remember when I was a child my second grandfather used to do business of cloths and he had to travel a lot to purchase different cloths from the different parts of the country. Imagine this scenario now in this recent time, the world will lough at us if we continued this kind of strategies in order to run the business. With the blessing of IT, business has become easier and convenient and approachable to not only within country but also worldwide. The modern technology has brought dramatic business changes in term of business operation and customer relation. There are many kinds of firms that have changed from traditional way to technological way to sustain their business. For example, banking, agricultural firms, online purchase are only a few blessing of IT that is being implemented in all the countries whereas there are thousands of inventions out there available.

 As an example, I will describe about rice factory that I have seen changing in front of my eyes. My grandfather also had a rice mills and he used to run the business in traditional ways. In 2006 my grandfather died and his sons converted the manual rice mills as an auto rice mills in 20008. Previously, there were so many workers who used to bring paddy from different people and put them under the sun for one or two days in order to make the rice out of paddy. So, they used to have problem in rainy seasons. Every day, around 10,000 kg of rice used to be produced. Now after making it as auto rice mills the production has increased at double rate around 20,000 kg per day. Moreover, now the production become stable at it does not depend on the weather. Another major issue that my grandfather faced one time was burglary since the money was kept in the mill office. But now my uncle transfer the money to bank every now and then that is why it becomes safer than before. Purchasing paddies from different people become very easy with the blessing of mobile technology. The customer can even buy the rice by reloading on the phone and the mills take the responsibility of delivering those rice. This business is more likely domestic and there is a fewer effects of globalization on this.
