Time goes on, everything get changed from time to time. Information Technology is one of the crucial terms that occurs changes in the society. So what is IT? Information technology (IT) is the use of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data. (WiKi, Anonymous, ndt)

IT has influenced many sectors of the society that it is impossible to describe all the sectors. Here we will share the influence on the following sectors:
Educational
Governmental

Educational: It has brought a revolutionary change in educational field. IT development give chance to study on internet without going to class. Today the students can get a lot of information via internet that helps them to learn independently and enthusiastically. IT has provided a wider access to the information to the researchers. E-book has made the study easier and time saving.

 IT influence on Education

Governmental:  Nowadays the prosperity of any nations relies on the IT services. The development of IT has enabled the government to provide various types of services to the citizen. Advance Database systems help government to collaborate with other countries to create an international network. IT also has a vital role in intelligent and defense field of any nations. The modern weapons are constructed based on IT. B2 Bomber is one of the examples of the blessing of IT in defense sector.

Nowadays doctor can manipulate the patients’ information very easily by using computer and it can also be shared from different part of the world.
Medical Check UP a Blessing of IT

Media Services: It was hard to know the news of one part of the world from another part in the history. But with the blessing of IT we can easily see what’s going on in and around the world. The news of one continent spread out in another continent within a second. People can share their news, views in many social websites.

What is One Laptop per Child (OLPC)?
One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is a project supported by the Miami-based One Laptop per Child Association (OLPCA) and the Cambridge-based OLPC Foundation (OLPCF), two U.S. non-profit organizations set up to oversee the creation of affordable educational devices for use in the developing world. (WiKi, ndt) Actually this program is to introduce the modern technology to the children of developing countries by providing laptop. The project was originally funded by member organizations such as AMD, Chi Mei, eBay, Google, Marvell, News Corporation, Nortel, Red Hat, and Quanta. (WiKi, ndt)
IT services for Marginalized People
However, I think that OLPC is a nice step to provide facilities to the marginalized community of the world. As we know that the people of developing country do not have the capacity to effort the high cost of computer technologies, it will assist them to make proper use of the facilities in order to create a bright future. Hereafter they will not be leg behind in the progress. Report of FAQ on official site of OLPC informs that as of 2011 there were about over 2.4 million XO laptops delivered. (WiKi, ndt) This is very delighted news and I believe that there will be some more effective steps which will consider the facts of the poor people.
